• Kansas is a merit jurisdiction.
  • Kansas accepts the Uniform Application to Register Securities (Form U1), and does allow for electronic signature of forms.
  • Registration requires filing or delivery of:
    • Filing fee
    • Application form
    • Financial statements
    • A Consent to Service of Process (Form U2)
    • SEC Form 1-A with exhibits
  • Kansas collects a variable fee: 0.05% of the maximum aggregate offering price; there is a minimum fee of $100 and a maximum fee of $1,500.  Note, however, that a fee moratorium is currently in place for all securities registrations that would require payment of a fee due from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.
