WASHINGTON (October 11, 2000) – W. Mark Sendrow, Arizona’s Director of Securities, was appointed today to the Board of the North American Securities Administrators Association to replace David Jonson, South Carolina’s Deputy Securities Commissioner, who is resigning to go into private legal practice.

Sendrow was appointed Securities Commissioner in January 1999. Prior to that, he was an assistant attorney general in Arizona for 21 years, litigating many cases for the securities division. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Under NASAA bylaws, an election to fill the Board vacancy will be held at the next meeting of the group’s membership, the Spring Conference in Washington, DC in late April.
