WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 11, 2006) —The following is a statement from North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) President and Wisconsin Securities Administrator Patricia D. Struck on the appointment of Andrew Donohue as Director of the Division of Investment Management at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

“NASAA’s leadership congratulates SEC Chairman Christopher Cox on the appointment of Andrew Donohue as Director of the agency’s Division of Investment Management. State and federal securities regulators share a common goal of protecting investors and we look forward to working with Director Donohue in a cooperative manner on issues of mutual concern, such as, issues relating to the regulation of investment advisers, variable insurance products, and mutual funds.”

NASAA is the oldest international organization devoted to investor protection. Its membership consists of the securities administrators in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the provinces and territories of Canada, and Mexico.
